Night Smoker/Production Worker

The position will perform a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing and packaging of our products in our fast-paced refrigerated facility. The main part of this job is to load/unload smokers & chillers, working on the production line performing the basic functions of the packager between smoker/chillers duties. All in compliance with the standards of wholesomeness, hygiene, health & safety at work.

Hours: 6pm-2:30m Monday – Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

- Load and unloading of smokers and chillers

- Monitoring CCP’s and completing paperwork

- Monitor smoke generators

- Communicating with sanitation

- Packaging smoked product

- Move products and materials as required in performance of duties

- Maintain quality and quantity performance standards

- Visually check work after completion for cosmetic appearance and noticeable defects

- Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly, and operable condition

- Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, defective product and unusual conditions to the proper Manager

- May be assigned to different workstations as production needs require

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or G.E.D.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Good physical shape (able to lift 50 pounds)

- Good speed of execution (fast paced environment)

- Strong commitment to teamwork and concern for others

- High level of personal responsibility and ownership

- Highly detail oriented and meticulous

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Basic mathematical skills in weights, temperatures, times and general numbers

- Must be able to work in a cold environment

- Wear clean smock, hair net, bump cap, sleeves, gloves and safety boots at all times.

- Able to multi-task

- Able to read and follow detailed procedures

- Follow safe work practices
