What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Team Assistant position at North Country Supervisory Union?
The Behavioral Team Assistant reports to the NCSU Behavior Team, supports the implementation of behavior intervention plans, observes student behavior, supports the collection of student data and promotes consistent behavioral responses.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate with the NCSU Behavior Team.
• Conduct classroom observations with support from the NCSU Behavior Team.
• Support the implementation of behavior plans.
• Support collecting student data.
• Support the provision of consistent behavior responses to students.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and paraprofessional staff to insure fidelity of behavioral interventions.
• Attend scheduled professional development to expand knowledge and expertise.
Experience: Successful candidate will have experience working with children, collaborating with educational teams, and appropriately accepting feedback. Candidate must demonstrate strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and be willing to complete CPI certification and attend trainings to support skill development.
Salary and benefits: Hourly wage of $22.50 per hour or more, depending on experience. Benefits per support staff policy. This is a school session, 190-day contract. .
