North Country Union High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual committed to the development of character, competence, creativity and community in their role as Associate Principal. The candidate hired for this position will work closely with the NCUHS administrative team, school counselors, classroom teachers, students and community partners to ensure that 100% of NCUHS students graduate with an evidence-based plan for college or career. The successful candidate will be familiar with practices for Proficiency-Based Learning, Personalized Learning Plans, Universal Design for Learning, and Project, Placed-Based, & Community Service Learning. The successful candidate will also demonstrate competencies in staff and student management, leading and assessing school programs and reviewing and implementing policies and developing procedures to ensure safe and efficient school operations.
The Associate Principal must strive to develop personal relationships with both students and colleagues to support a commitment to a culture of Achievement Through Perseverance. Previous administrative experience required. Qualifications: 1.Masters Degree with a concentration in educational administration or its equivalent: VT Supervisors or Principals endorsement2.At least five years experience in public education, with at least two in an administrative capacity3.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as deemed acceptable by the NCUHS School Board.Position Goal: Assist the principal to promote and maintain a safe, respectful, responsible and productive learning environment in order to ensure that 100% of NCUHS students graduate with an evidence-based plan for college or career.
