About the Job
This is an entry-level position in the Information Systems Support series. As an Information Systems Support Specialist, you will perform a variety of support services for the emergency communications center and related technologies. This may include radio systems support, geographic information systems (GIS) support, or other related duties.
Key Responsibilities
* Install communication equipment in vehicles and offices
* Configure network hardware and software
* Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions
* Research and test new products and systems solutions
* Confer with regional partners and vendors to determine requirements and services
* Plan new and revised communications systems
Minimum Qualifications
* An Associate degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science or a related field
* One year providing radio systems support at an entry level
* Valid California Driver's License
* Knowledge of operations, services, concepts, terms, and activities common to information systems and radio services
* Ability to operate, maintain, and repair radio equipment and software
