What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator position at North County Internists?
North County Internists is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and highly skilled front office Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant to join our team. An overview of duties includes but are not limited to greeting patients as they come in the door, checking them in, collecting copayments and verifying their insurance upon arrival. You should be comfortable undertaking various tasks in the office such as answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, confirming appointments, collecting outstanding balances, building new patient packets, taking messages for MA’s, filing/organizing, and more.
Must also be a Medical Assistant to cover as a float when needed and be comfortable rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in EHR, assisting providers in collecting specimens and minor in office procedures, and triaging incoming messages/medical complaints.
Our ideal candidate will be professional, courteous, a team player, and have excellent punctuality, time management, organizational and communication skills. (written and verbal) Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action in emergent situations, requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in established timeframes (8am-5pm) with special attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
