Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. This has been a long standing practice in the community that gives a small community feel while staying up beat and busy! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients while ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient comfort and safety. We ask that you have experience in clinical dentistry and a dental radiographic certification.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient care.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring adherence to safety standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records and treatment plans.
- Monitor vital signs as needed during procedures, ensuring patient safety throughout their visit.
- Provide support in the dental clinic by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and assisting with front desk duties when required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience and maintain a welcoming environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and knowledge of anatomy is highly desirable.
- Experience with dental reception tasks is a plus, as well as proficiency in using medical imaging technology.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations is essential for maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
Working Hours
- The office is currently open Monday - Friday (NO WEEKENDS)
- We offer variable hours throughout the days of the week and are willing to work with candidates on a schedule of hours and days if needed.
