What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Corrections Case Manager position at North Dakota Corrections & Rehab?
Duties and Tasks
Conduct interviews to compile background information and assess the individual's risk and needs.
Develop a case supervision plan on each person based upon the assessments/reassessment and governing body ordered conditions, which would address the individual's risk, needs and strengths to promote behavior change, adherence to laws and ensure community safety.
Work with a team to develop interventions that address violations of the terms and conditions of supervision.
Refer people to appropriate services.
Conduct investigations and reports to include community placement plans, parole plans, interstate compact investigation reports, presentence investigations, sentencing reports, and pardon advisory board reports.
Testify at necessary legal proceedings and make sentencing recommendations to the court.
Interpret criminal judgments pursuant to North Dakota law and Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation policies.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree with preference given to those with a degree in behavioral science, business, education or closely related field and eligibility to be licensed as a peace officer in North Dakota. Incumbent must be licensable as a ND Peace Officer under North Dakota Century Code Chapter 12-63 and may attend a basic peace officer training program recognized by the ND Peace Officers and Training Board (POST Board) ensuring authorization to perform the peace officer duties of a Parole and Probation Officer in accordance with North Dakota Century Code Section 12-59-20.
