What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Records Manager position at North Dakota Corrections & Rehab?
Summary of Work
In this position, you will oversee the legal records department, which serves as the central repository for criminal judgements reflecting orders to a period of incarceration, supervised probation, and orders granting parole. Legal records is responsible for interpreting judgements, orders received from the courts, and orders granting parole. Legal records interpret judgements and orders received from the courts and parole board according to state law and to timely and accurately record the judgements in the designated DOCR data base according to policy. In this role you will provide quality assurance within legal records. You will supervise legal records personnel, develop, and maintain legal records standard operating procedures and project management.
Minimum Qualifications
Work Experience: Five years in a high-level administrative support role, demonstrating research, analysis, interpretation, and formal report preparation skills.
Education: Preferred bachelor's degree. Relevant college coursework in business administration, criminal justice, or related fields can substitute for work experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Skills: Experience with major projects or procedural development/modification is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication abilities, strong interpersonal relationship skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, time management and attention to detail.
