What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at North Dakota Corrections & Rehab?
Summary of Work
This position will report to the Business Technology Manager located at DOCR Central Office. The position will serve as a trusted internal project coordinator supporting the larger project team and tracking milestones, risks and deliverables for the agency. The position will lead and champion change management activities, helping staff adapt to new systems, roles and workflows. The position is responsible for collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Lead Project Manager, vendors and internal teams. A successful applicant will develop and deliver communications, training plans and readiness assessments to ensure people are informed, prepared, and confident through change.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business, public administration, computer science or related field. Applicant must have two to three years of professional work experience within criminal justice, technology, or organizational change.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to lead through influence, and coach others through change from front line staff to executive leadership. Prior work experience supporting IT projects in a project or change management capacity. An understanding through work experience of corrections or criminal justice. Experience with structured management frameworks. PMP, PROSCI is preferred but not required. A demonstrated understanding of how people experience change and what it takes to support them during transitions.
