Summary of Work
Responsibilities of the position involve coordinating the Department's Administrative Services Division business functions, including federal grant management systems, fiscal operations, policies, facilities, contract/procurement/risk management, licensing, data, and technology.
The role will provide strategic guidance to the division, identifying challenges and implement solutions to enhance departmental operations. It also involves aligning efforts with business systems, offering technical input for fiscal systems, and providing support for accounting processes and data management. The position requires examination and review of the Department's fiscal, grant, and contractual systems, ensuring the integrity of data and business intelligence reporting.
Additionally, the role includes supervising administrative services staff, representing the department in internal and external meetings, and contributing strategic insights, technical writing, and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, finance, project management or a closely related field and five years of professional work experience in these areas. At least three year's work experience must have included personnel supervision.
Applicants must exhibit strong leadership abilities and the capability to manage competing interests. They should be highly self-motivated, able to inspire and guide others, and skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and making quick, independent decisions.
The ideal candidate will be well-organized, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have experience working with diverse groups.
The role requires the ability to remain composed and focused under pressure, managing conflicting priorities and demanding work schedules. Effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential. Applicants should have a solid understanding of Microsoft Office tools (Access, Excel) and proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) for working with Relational Database Management Systems.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license and able to work weekends and evenings as required.
Requires satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.

Preference will be given to individuals with:
- Experience in financial transactions, reporting, auditing, and/or procurement
- Budget development, management, and oversight
- Experience in project management
- Experience and participation in hunting, fishing and other related outdoor recreational activities
