North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) is seeking a System Administrator to ensure the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud infrastructure with a focus on enterprise storage systems. This position is a hybrid role, with required time onsite in Bismarck, ND.
As a System Administrator, you will:
- Manage enterprise storage systems, including fiber channel SAN, NAS, and cloud storage ensuring data availability and integrity.
- Perform regular updates and apply patches to storage hardware and software to ensure security and compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor storage capacity and performance to ensure optimal operation and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Deploy and manage Azure cloud services including IaaS and PaaS resources
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline system administration tasks and improve efficiency.
- Drive innovation through researching, evaluating, and implementing emerging technologies.
- Be a team player in an enterprise setting and support large scale production environments

To be considered for the System Administrator role, you must:
Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a closely related area, along with 2 years of current and progressive work experience supporting, administering and implementing complex SAN/NAS enterprise storage solutions. Additional skills and experience with administering cloud technologies is preferred.
Professional work experience as described above can be substituted for formal education on a year for year basis.
Due to the nature of this position, the team member must complete a Public Trust background investigation upon hire. The results of this background check can take several months to return, and employment will be terminated immediately if the investigation is not passed.
Salary : $7,000 - $7,800
