This position is perfect for someone who is highly organized, adaptable, outgoing, a team player, and skilled in both one-on-one guidance and large-group presentations. If you're comfortable speaking to diverse audiences, coordinating events, and making new connections, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one assistance to job seekers, helping them with job searches, resume building, interview prep, and navigating workforce resources.
- Expand the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program by conducting outreach, and fostering partnerships with schools, colleges, businesses, and community organizations.
- Work with WIOA participants to develop personalized career plans, determine eligibility, and connect them with education and training resources.
- Travel throughout Jamestown and surrounding communities to build strong partnerships with schools, colleges, employers, and community organizations.
- Collaborate with workforce partners to identify apprenticeship, training, and employment opportunities for job seekers.
- Conduct presentations and workshops on topics like career development, workforce programs, job search strategies, and resume writing.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely follow-up with job seekers and program participants.
- Support unemployment insurance claimants, offering guidance on job search requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six years of education, training, and/or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with experience in case management or exceptional skills in organization, documentation management, time management, event coordination, and problem-solving with keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering engaging public presentations, a strong understanding of community resources, and the ability to build meaningful connections.
