JOB SUMMARY: The Educational Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting faculty, staff, and students in effectively using the learning management system (Blackboard) and other educational technologies. This role focuses on troubleshooting technical issues, providing training, and optimizing the LMS to enhance teaching and learning. Additionally, the specialist collaborates with faculty to apply instructional design principles, enhance course quality, and integrate educational technologies that improve student engagement and accessibility.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or other related field.
- Strong knowledge of educational technologies and instructional design principles.
- Experience in designing and developing online and blended learning courses.
- Ability to prioritize projects and troubleshoot online course issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to provide training and support to diverse groups.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or other related field.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI), or willingness to learn.
- Teaching experience.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for handling difficult situations

SALARY: Starting at $50,000 – $65,000 commensurate with education and experience
