North Dakota State University is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and highly organized Institutional Effectiveness Specialist. This position reports to the Vice Provost for Assessment and Strategic Initiatives and supports NDSU’s commitment to continuous improvement and data-informed decision-making. This position will assist in the design, implementation, and analysis of institutional effective initiatives, including accreditation, assessment, planning, and reporting. In addition, the position will collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to ensure alignment with institutional mission, strategic goals, and accreditation standards.

Advertised Salary – $60,000
Work Hours – Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM, 7:30AM-4PM during breaks and summer
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of institutional effectiveness principles and practices
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience in higher education institutional effectiveness (accreditation, assessment, planning)
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and processes (preferably Higher Learning Commission)
- Experience with student information systems
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
