The Ag Communication computer services unit provides hardware and software support to NDSU Agriculture.
Provide computer and customer support
- Install software, configure and set-up new computers and equipment
- Utilize tools to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Recommend and perform repairs, replacements or upgrades on hardware and software
- Travel to off-campus sites when necessary
- Utilize management tools to maintain systems
- Keep support guidelines up to date
Operate and utilize administrative and management systems
- Deploy supported Windows images
- Utilize remote support management tools (SCCM, Simple Help)
- Deploy updates and software
- Help identify and resolve desktop security issues using Active Directory and other management software
Participate in IT industry activities
- Study relevant industry information to remain current on emerging technologies.
- Provide consultation, training and education on IT Security issues.
- Cooperate and collaborate with colleagues across the state (county technicians, NDACo, NDUS, ITS, etc.)
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Advertised Salary:
$52,000/year
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree and three years related work experience in information technology, security systems, computer information systems, computer management information systems or similar.
