What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDSU Temporary P/T Research Assistant position at North Dakota State University?
This is a part-time or temporary non-benefited position.
The Dickinson Research Extension Center is seeking to hire an individual to fill this position to support the Center's Animal Scientist, Douglas Landblom.
This position would be for a 10-month, 40-week, period beginning on February 10, 2025 through November 15, 2025. The individual would work 40 hours per week for 20 weeks and 19.5 hours per week for 20 weeks with no overtime work permitted.
Minimum Qualifications :
Applicant required qualifications :
- Assist in the collection of cattle, soil, crops, and forage samples and sample preparation for analysis.
- Summarize data and conduct extensive literature search in preparation for journal publication.
- Assist with DREC outreach program development.
- Participate in new grant writing.
- Perform other duties and tasks as needed by the Center's Animal Scientist.
- Be able to work outside for long periods of time.
- Possess a valid North Dakota driver's license.
- Capable of working independently and as a team member.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Efficient use of computers and various types of computer software.
- Complete background check.
