North Dakota State University (NDSU) College of Business is dedicated to providing innovative and effective educational experiences. We are seeking a dynamic Online Teaching Specialist to join our team and support our faculty in enhancing their online teaching.
Job Summary :
The Online Teaching Specialist will assist faculty members in designing online courses, integrating educational technology, and producing course elements. This role involves providing expertise in instructional design, video production, and the use of various educational technologies to enhance the learning experience. Additionally, the specialist will play a key role in ensuring consistent quality across online programs within the College of Business.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with online instructors to design and develop online courses that meet high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with online instructors to integrate educational technology tools and resources into their courses.
- Provide training and support on best practices in online pedagogy and instructional design.
- Assist in the selection and implementation of educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
- Provide training and assistance to faculty for creating and editing video content for instructional purposes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to online course delivery and provide timely solutions.
- Develop instructional materials and resources to support online learning.
- Conduct workshops and one-on-one sessions to train faculty on the use of educational technology tools.
- Ensure consistent quality across online programs by developing and implementing quality assurance processes.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in online education and instructional design.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing online courses and educational technology practices.
