What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post Doctoral Research Fellow - (2956287) position at North Dakota State University?
Position Information
Description & Details : The postdoctoral position will conduct research on the role of phase separation in cancer progression, focusing on the protein characteristics that drive biomolecular condensate formation and their implications in various cancers, under the supervision of Dr. Chandra. The project aims to characterize the phase separation properties of key transcription factors in pancreatic cancer using advanced live-cell imaging and biochemical approaches. Under the guidance of Dr. Chandra, the successful candidate will generate and validate GFP-tagged constructs, perform high-resolution microscopy to study protein dynamics in various pancreatic cancer cell lines, and employ quantitative analysis to understand condensate formation and its relationship to gene regulation. This innovative research bridges the gap between phase separation biology and Pancreatic cancer progression, with potential implications for therapeutic development. The position offers opportunities for independent research development, manuscript preparation, and grant writing.
