Position Description :
The Department of Plant Pathology at North Dakota State University (NDSU) invites applicants for a non-tenure-track Assistant Professor (Research) position. The successful applicant will support various projects and activities involving generating, handling, storing, and analyzing genomics data generated from plant-microbe studies. The successful applicant will also actively participate as a PI and Co-PI (with other faculty members) to develop an independent externally-funded research program on plant-microbe interactions, host / pathogen genomics, virology or related areas of interest.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities will include :
- Develop a collaborative and independent research program by developing joint research projects with the principal investigators in the department.
- Support the advancement of applied and fundamental research in the department and at NDSU.
- Build and manage data analysis pipelines to analyze bioinformatics data generated from plant and pathogen studies.
- Facilitating researchers in the department by providing services, tools, and facilities for data analysis.
