What are the responsibilities and job description for the FWS - Agriculture / Rodeo Arena and Building Maintenance Worker Student Assistant position at North Dakota University System?
Required Qualifications :
- You must be a DSU student enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits during, or for a future, fall / spring and / or summer semester(s).
- You must be eligible for Federal Work Study and accept this award in Campus Connection.
- This position is conditional upon an acceptable background check.
- Dependable and reliable.
- Can drive a pickup and gooseneck trailer.
- Limited knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Can drive a tractor.
- Can lift up to 50 pounds.Preferred Qualifications : Ability to operate a welder and skidsteer.Roles and Responsibilities : Clean manure from the indoor arena. Assist with general maintenance of the indoor and outdoor arenas. Assist with specific projects in the indoor and outdoor arenas (and associated areas) including general construction. Assist with hauling of rodeo stock as needed. Ensure pens for the colt training horses are in good condition (fix / maintain if necessary). Provide feed and water for colt training horses. Have the ability to help in the office also when needed. General agriculture building maintenance, including, but not limited to, light construction and welding tasks. Other duties as assigned.Work Hours / Pay Rate :
- Ideally student will work about 10-20 hours each week during a semester, depending on area need and schedules.
