Summary of Work

Employer Services provides policy administration and safety services to policyholders. The purpose of the Support Specialist is to provide administrative support to the Policyholder Services Department as well as WSI employer stakeholders. Impactful duties of the Support Specialist position include:

  • Manage incoming emails and calls related to employer accounts.
  • Review and complete employer updates in WSI's claims and policy system.
  • Onboard users in WSI's online portal, myWSI. Provide technical support for users within the portal.
  • Administer letter campaigns using mail merge software.
  • Support underwriting project to identify employers who may have a requirement of coverage with WSI.
  • Review and complete Verification of Non-Employment forms for employers who do not meet WSI's requirement of coverage. Coordinate with other state agencies to provide verification that an employer has contacted WSI regarding their requirement of coverage.
  • Coordinate email and calling campaigns to encourage employers to submit their delinquent payroll reports.
  • Process daily financial entries and reallocate application of payments.
  • Draft correspondence not generated by the forms system.

To be successful in this position, you must be a good listener and communicator, be proficient in Microsoft Office products, have an eye for attention to detail, be able to handle multiple tasks at once and be flexible and willing to learn new duties and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of demonstrated experience in office support or customer service is required.
  • Further education in office support, business, or office education may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
