Patient Services Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing patient information and facilitating smooth operations within our facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and support during their visits.

Duties

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
• Assist with medical coding and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Handle medical collections, including processing payments and insurance claims.
• Utilize computer systems for scheduling appointments and managing patient data.
• Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively.
• Address patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance patient satisfaction.

Experience

• Familiarity with health information management systems is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of medical coding practices is a plus.
• Proficiency in computerized systems and strong typing skills are essential for success in this role.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations is required.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
