The Sales Executive solicits and secures new clients for linen and uniform rental services in the hospitality, food and beverage, corporate dining and catering venue markets. Sales territory includes Central, NJ, Northern, NJ and NYC markets.
This role is responsible for securing new client appointments and successfully managing the sales pipeline required to achieve individual sales plan. In addition, identifying and prioritizing new business opportunities, developing a client engagement plan, and executing against company-wide initiatives.
The Sales Executive is responsible for gathering client intelligence prior to the first appointment, fostering a relationship, and building a rental program to meet client needs to contract new business.
The Sales Executive negotiates pricing, products and rental options that best fits the prospective customer’s needs.
Duties:
- Develop specific territory growth plan and provide updates on progress vs. plan
- Secure prospective client appointments via participation in targeted telemarketing, drop offs, cold calling and other selling strategies
- Meet with prospective clients to secure their business. Execute appropriate follow-up client meetings to complete sales process.
- Meet client timelines and deliverables.
- Proactively identify, solicit and motivate targeted prospects using a variety of methods such as cold-calling, lead qualifying, presenting proposals and sales funnel management. Maintain sales records and accurately fill out new client paperwork.
- Follow company Sales policies and procedures, including price/product guidelines and new installation procedures.
- Present a professional image. Build relationships, communicate openly, educate customers, manage customer needs and proactively work with other departments to smoothly transition a new customer.
- Safely operate a vehicle on each trip, following all applicable laws and company policy. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure regular vehicle maintenance.
- Follow written and verbal instructions. Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Sales, Business Administration/Management, Marketing and/or other business development related fields.
- Must be able to provide evidence of a proven sales track record
- 3 years of outside B2B sales experience
- Experience in specializing new business acquisition
- Experience with Linen and Uniform service industry a plus
- Ability to influence decision makers at all levels of an organization, from a CEO to a front office professional
- Must possess an acceptable driving record.
