The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will provide mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, crisis intervention, case management for members with mild to moderate behavioral health needs; formulate treatment plan, conduct psychotherapy-treatment, and make referral of members with acute or chronic psychiatric and/or behavioral health needs. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will collaborate with treating physician to plan and direct each patient’s treatment program through Collaborative Care Model.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide culturally sensitive, linguistic appropriate assessment.
- Performs a bio-psychosocial assessment interview with patient according to department policy and procedures.
- Formulate treatment plan, maintain a caseload, continue to engage in patient to improve behavioral health conditions.
- Supports and counsels patients with psychoeducation, regarding anxiety, depression, insomnia and compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, including adherence to prescribed medication regimens within the scope of practice. Communicates concerns about medications or side effects to PCP/NP/psychiatrist.
- Maintain a regular case load. Provide Warm Handoffs between primary care providers and NEMS patients.
- Documents treatments and progress in accordance with state regulations and department procedures. Prepares reports, intakes, treatment plans, and case summaries and maintains ongoing confidential records.
- Participate in grant project, will co-facilitate department case consultation meeting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree in Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy, plus two years or 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience, required.
- Current state license as MFT
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic with a strong ability to establish and build trust.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Ability to remain calm and reassuring in tense situations and to de-escalate arguments.
- Thorough understanding of human behavior, various behavioral and affective disorders, and the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of these disorders.
- Organizational skills required to manage complex, deadline-driven paperwork including billing and insurance claims.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Thorough understanding of applicable ethical codes and standards.
- Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required.
STATUS:
- This is an FLSA Exempt position.
- This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
LANGUAGE:
- Must be fluent in English.
- Spanish highly preferred.
- Other Chinese dialects or proficiency in other languages are an asset.

Salary : $121,618 - $139,776
