Description
The Business Development Specialist will work with the Business Development Manager to implement strategies to meet all program growth and enrollment goals. The Business Development Specialist will develop new business development leads and proactively build partnerships in the Bay Area including San Francisco and Santa Clara County communities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Achieve all program business development, growth, and enrollment targets
- Develop and grow new business development networks in Bay Area communities including San Francisco and Santa Clara County through business development management, referral generation, and relationship building initiatives.
- Generate new referral leads by initiating external business development activities with potential referral sources, including but not limited to hospital discharge planning departments, senior centers, community organizations, social services and home health agencies, and housing organizations
- Create and participate in events to promote awareness of the program
- Develop and provide impactful presentations to referral sources and potential candidates for the program
- Proactively utilize data and metrics to identify market penetration opportunities
- Create and maintain a robust monthly referral pipeline and implement business development strategies to overcome obstacles to enrollment conversion
- Ensure business development activities are in compliance with CMS guidelines and standards. Perform other job duties as required by manager/supervisor
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum (2) years of business development or sales experience in healthcare particularly in organizations serving the geriatric population such as home health, and/or hospice agencies is preferred
- Have existing business development network in the San Francisco and Santa Clara County communities is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in working with the AAPI community
- Ability to think, plan and sell strategically.
- Demonstrate the ability to build networks and alliances and influence key decision-makers, both internally and externally,
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving business development/sales targets
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Poised and sharp presentation skills.
- Efficient organizational skills
- Valid CA driver license. Current BLS and First Aid certification required
LANGUAGE:
- Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English.
- Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin),Vietnamese, or Spanish is preferred.
- Fluency in other languages is an asset.
STATUS:
- This is an FLSA Exempt position.
- This is not an OSHA high-risk position.

Salary : $71,495 - $80,808
