Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including grooming, bathing, and dressing.
- Support clients in meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals.
- Help clients with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living space.
- Facilitate social interactions and community engagement for clients.
- Implement individualized care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor and document client progress and any changes in behavior or health.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing home, group home, or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with people with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of meal preparation and cooking skills is beneficial.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Background in social work or related fields is a plus.
