Job Description:
North Florida Child Development seeks a passionate Teachers to provide age-appropriate curriculum instruction and developmentally supportive activities for preschool and/or infant/toddler classrooms. The role focuses on fostering children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while meeting Head Start Performance Standards and Florida childcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans.
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments, parent conferences, and home visits.
- Supervise children, ensuring ratios and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with parents and staff to support each child’s development.
Qualifications:
- National CDA or FCCPC certification required; must enroll in an Associate’s degree program in Early Childhood Education.
- 2 years of experience in an early education classroom.
- Ability to meet Florida DCF training requirements within the specified timeframe.
Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of early childhood education best practices, including Creative Curriculum and Conscious Discipline.
- Physical ability to engage with children (e.g., kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs.).
Other Requirements:
- Level 2 background check and drug screening.
- Completion of required training courses.
