Job Description:
North Florida Child Development is seeking a dedicated Teachers to lead developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum for preschool and/or infant/toddler classrooms. This role ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and Florida childcare regulations while fostering children’s growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans to support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Supervise and actively engage with children to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents, conduct assessments, and support individualized learning plans (IEPs/IFSPs).
- Maintain accurate and confidential educational records.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Early Child Development or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in an early education classroom.
- Must meet Florida Department of Children and Families training and certification requirements within specified timeframes.
Skills:
- Knowledge of Creative Curriculum, Conscious Discipline, and Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities.
