This entry level Customer Service position is located in Jacksonville, FL (Mandarin) in our central billing office. This is a stepping stone position for medical billing and/or coding positions. Candidates with medical office front desk experience is preferred.
This office handles all aspects of medical billing for multi-specialty providers. Essential functions for this customer service position includes receiving inquiries from patients and various departments to resolve patient account billing questions along with other billing tasks as assigned including self pay collections.
You will work closely with the medical billing and coding staff. This position will also be responsible for some clerical and admin functions. This is a busy phone position but not a call center environment.
Requirements
Experience Preferred but not required:
- Excellent phone and customer service skills. Positive attitude is a must.
- Knowledge of insurance billing procedures helpful but not required.
- Skill in defining problems, collecting data, interpreting billing information and claim resolution.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, co-workers, physician staff and vendors.
- Skill in computer applications, including Excel.
- Education: High school diploma, coding and billing courses helpful
