Description
SUMMARY:
Performs dental measures designed to preserve teeth and prevent the spread of oral disease by performing required duties, to include:
- Clean calcareous deposit, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
- Exam gums to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease.
- Applies fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
- as well as other duties designated on the job description normally associated with a dental hygienist position.
SCHEDULE/HOURS:
- Monday - Friday
- Typically 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- No weekends
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- Maintains a current Florida Dental Hygienist license to practice, including certifications as appropriate.
- One to two years related experience and/or training.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience (i.e. associate of science degree and experience).
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
