Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, is building a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in west side of Jacksonville, North Florida Rehabilitation Hospital. This two-story, 60,582-square-foot hospital, expected to open in 2024, will sit on 5.55 acres at southwest Normandy Boulevard and Interstate 295. The new hospital will have all private rooms and focus on acute rehabilitation for patients who suffer from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, multiple trauma, amputation and other injuries or disorders.
It will also feature multidisciplinary therapy gymnasiums with therapeutic technologies that include augmented-reality balance training, therapy bionics and a full-body exoskeleton. What you will do in this role:
- Participates in the survey process; instructs staff in matters of conduct and disclosure; maintains a presence at all times while surveyors are on-site and directs the timely collection of information required by the survey team. Undertakes corrective action while survey is in progress, if appropriate; works with other hospital departments to develop survey plan of correction, as needed
- Conducts initial assessments and reassessments on all patients admitted to the hospital.
- Ensure proper completion of documentation (assessments, care plans, education, discharge planning)
- Provides oversight of the menu management process
- Provides training to manager and staff as needed on therapeutic diets and menus, food allergens, or other related topics
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in dietetics or nutrition related field
- Registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- State licensure/certification, if required by state
- Previous experience in acute care setting, preferred
