Position Title : Assisted Living Activities Coordinator (PRN)
Position Overview : The role of the Assisted Living Activities Coordinator is to offer support and assistance to the assisted living residents at The Village through the provision of customer service and programming. This position is responsible for implementing life enrichment programs that promote the intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being of the residents. This position reports to the Assisted Living Activities Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions :
- Plan and prepare scheduled activities for residents.
- Assist with theme development, decorating, and set up of planned events.
- Attend departmental education and all required in-service training / education.
- Serve as a liaison for all residents to support customer service solutions to all questions and concerns voiced or made aware of.
- Provide quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and staff
- Focus support according to the individual strengths and abilities of the resident.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident / family and facility information.
- Research and stay up to date on maintaining all five components of the life enrichment paradigm; physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and social.
- Identify and implement strategies to create interest and involvement among residents.
- Coordinate event transportation for residents as needed.
- Participate in and assist with new resident orientation. Provide ongoing follow up with resident, encourage participation in activities, and assist with orienting resident to Assisted Living routine.
- Communicate the needs, progress and development of the AL Life Enrichment program to supervisors as needed.
- Monitor day-to-day operations of scheduled programs and events
- Communicate and collaborate with all other departments.
- Perform other duties as required.
