Job Summary : The Ophthalmic Tester is able to handle a wide range of duties while using equipment to perform the initial testing needed to prepare a patient for an exam.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Complete all the testing for OCT, anterior segment photography, Visual Field, Fundus photography
- Upload any results of imaging and testing into computer (IOL master, Corneal Topography, OCT, Visual Field, Fundus)
- Scanning documents, prior authorizations, other paperwork into patients’ chart
- Verifying letters (Diabetes, Plaquenil, Referral, etc.) have been sent to appropriate Doctor from previous day, and if not sending the letter
- Calling for labs (Quest) when needed when scribe is unavailable
- Recalls in-between patients and downtime
- Comply with HIPPA confidentiality standards when accessing or communicating patient information
