We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to help facilitate planning and coordination of project activities. You will assist with project schedules, takeoffs, estimating and other tasks aimed at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. This position is partnered with a Project Manager and reports to Operations.

LOCATION:
Our main office is in Bozeman, Montana. We have projects throughout the state from Whitefish to Big Timber. Some travel required for site visits and client meetings.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Pre-Construction
- Review and help estimate new projects by conducting takeoffs and assisting in the creation of proposals
- Initiate Request for Proposals (RFP's)to subs/vendors, review bids and present sub-contractor bid comparisons to PM
- Assist PM with quantity takeoffs as directed by the Project Manager
- Ensure the arch. narrative and/or project specific details are included in the estimate, review & understand owner's contract
- Create subcontract scope of work checklist for entire project.
- Assist PM and/or estimating dept. with any additional requests or tasks.
- Create buy-out log for project
- Write scope of work into the subcontract
- Construction
- Maintains "Lessons Learned" log for issues experienced throughout the project and how issues were resolved.
- Take and distribute OAC notes
- Draft weekly updates to Project Ownership including schedule updates. Review with PM prior to distribution.
- Overall internal NFB project documentation and maintenance Procore: Manage RFI & Submittal Process, Drawing Updates, ASIs etc.,
- Issuance of subcontract agreements as approved by the PM.
- Ensures field management team has access to subcontracts/scope of work for each trade
- Maintain and update project schedule based on input from project team, Send Updates to Field and Office teams weekly.
- Travel to jobsites, meetings and client locations as needed in support of employees, clients, project team, etc.
- Update and manage CO and buy out logs. Sharing this information with field management weekly
- Review and code invoices for PM final review and approval
- Review job cost reports and flag and issues prior to final approval
- Project Close-Out
- Coordinate project closeout notices to subs and vendors
- Create owners manual with project details, sub/vendor contacts, warranty items prior to final subcontractor payments
- Collect Project As-Builts for applicable trades

- Microsoft Project
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Proficient with Blueprint Reading
- Knowledge of Building Codes
- OSHA 10 Certified
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- BS degree in Construction Management, CET or equivalent OR three years of construction project engineer experience required
- Strong in person, phone and email communication skills
