Assistant Habitat Restoration Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Habitat Restoration Manager. This role involves hands-on project execution, crew supervision, equipment operation, and quality assurance for our fieldwork. We are looking for someone with leadership skills, field experience, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing quality control and quality assurance on all field projects
• Working with our team to schedule, coordinate, implement, monitor, and maintain revegetation projects
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently
• Assist with crew safety management
• Loading, securing, and transporting equipment
• Equipment operation (Tractor, Skid steer and implements, UTV, ATV, skid steer, chainsaw, weed whacker)
• Assist with tracking maintenance needs, coordinating outsourced maintenance and repairs, providing minor in-house maintenance and repairs for some equipment (small engines, irrigation pumps, spraying equipment, ATV, UTV)
• Capability to do physically and mentally demanding work that can involve long days in remote locations sometimes under adverse weather conditions
• Navigating properties by interpreting maps and aerial imagery
• Support Farming projects which may include seeding, disking, tilling and mowing.
• Support Weed Management Activities to include noxious weed control and pond management/maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge/experience operating landscaping and/or farming equipment and tools.
• Possess leadership skills, ability to manage crew productivity and work quality

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
