Job Title: High School Swim and Dive Team Coach

Reports To: Athletic Director
Job Summary:
Princeton Community High School is seeking a passionate and experienced Swim and Dive Team Coach to lead and develop student-athletes in a competitive high school swimming and diving program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and motivating student-athletes while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and conduct all aspects of the swim and dive program, including practice sessions, meets, and training schedules.
- Teach and develop proper swimming and diving techniques, ensuring student-athlete safety and skill improvement.
- Develop conditioning and training programs that enhance performance while reducing injury risks.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to student-athletes, emphasizing personal growth, discipline, and teamwork.
- Monitor student-athletes' academic progress, encouraging academic excellence and compliance with school eligibility requirements.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and support staff.
- Coordinate meet schedules, transportation, and other logistics with the Athletic Director.
- Ensure compliance with IHSAA (Indiana High School Athletic Association) rules and regulations.
- Manage team budget and oversee fundraising efforts, if applicable.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that supports student-athlete well-being.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience in competitive swimming and/or diving, preferably at the high school level.
- Strong knowledge of swimming and diving techniques, training methods, and competition strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Familiarity with IHSAA rules and regulations.
- CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certification preferred.
- Must pass a background check as required by the school district.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Competitive swimming or diving experience at the high school or collegiate level.
Compensation:
- $4,678.64 (If a teacher, $4,819 inclusive of 3% TRF Contribution)
