POSITION SUMMARY:
The GA for Men’s Soccer reports to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach with daily tasks as it relates to the functioning of the men’s soccer program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist coach(es) with practices (e.g. set up for practice, practice planning, matches, video break-down, and instruct athletes on training, technique.)
- Assist with travel arrangements (e.g. Hotel reservations reserve buses for team transportation, order meals for team, pick-up food and water for travel days).
- Load and unload buses for practice or competition and Drive team when needed for practice or competition.
- Assist with the management of team gear and equipment (e.g. record sizes and place orders for team gear, organize and maintain gear, uniform, and equipment.)
- Assist in facility management
- Assist with NCAA, Conference Carolinas, institution compliance (e.g. Record CARA logs and have student-athletes sign logs.)
- Coordinate social media post for team and updated school record board
- Recruiting and eligibility of new student-athletes for the institution and athletic program.
- Assists with camp promotion and communication.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Visual Abilities: read reports, create presentations, and use a computer system.
- Hearing: hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, vendors, and students.
- Dexterity, grasping, feeling, write, type and use the telephone, copier, and computer systems.
- Mobility: open files and operate office machines; move between departments and attend meetings across campus.
- Talking: frequently convey detailed or important instructions and ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Lifting, pulling, pushing: exert up to 20 pounds of force regularly.
- Cognitive/Emotional: ability to critically think and concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in conditions – 75-100% of the time.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- The position is a part-time position in Athletics. The Graduate Assistant for Men’s Soccer reports to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach
WORK SCHEDULE:
- The Graduate Assistant Coach for Men’s Soccer is required to work according to athletic game schedules, meeting schedules as well as maintaining normal office hours.
TRAVEL:
- Travel is required for conferences and other required meetings.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience as a player or coach required.
