Position Summary: Student Accounts Associate assists with the accurate billing, payment arrangements, and financial clearance process for all students each semester. This position will assist the Director with managing the accounts receivable module in Jenzabar/J1, as well as assist in analyzing data to provide information to students, parents, and staff within the Student Services Department. This position reports to the Director for Student Accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent NGU in creating a professional, welcoming, and helpful environment by providing excellent customer service in person, on the phone, and in written communication.
- Learn and understand the details of student accounts and financial aid procedures for all student populations to best assist students through the payment process.
- Assist with maintaining the billing, payment arrangements, and financial clearance process for all students each semester.
- In coordination with the VA Point of Contact, process and manage the invoicing process for all VA benefit programs, including ROTC, Military Tuition Assistance, and the various Veteran benefit programs.
- Assist with processing student withdrawal documentation and ensuring charges are accurately adjusted, as applicable.
- Review student statements for accuracy as a part of the credit refund process.
- Assist in pulling reports from Jenzabar J1 to assist in various reconciliation processes.
- Assist at institutional check-in days, orientation events, and commencement, as needed.
- Collaborate with other areas within Student Services, including Financial Aid, Academic Records, and NGUcentral regarding policies, procedures, and general workflow between areas.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
This position is a full-time, non-exempt position in North Greenville University’s Student Services Department, located at the main campus in Tigerville, SC. The Student Accounts Associate reports to the Director for Student Accounts.
Travel
There is no travel required for this position.
WORK SCHEDULE
Student Services is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Office hours are subject to change as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle a variety of student issues and concerns.
- Competency with basic business tools including word processing, Excel, SQL, and database management.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and problem-solve in an environment where frequent interruptions are common.
- Ability to initiate projects, work independently, multitask, and prioritize multiple projects.
- Must be able to handle and maintain confidential information.
