Location: North Harrison Elementary School
Job Summary:The Non-Certified STEM Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lessons for elementary students. This individual will work to provide hands-on learning experiences for students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate STEM lessons for students in alignment with curriculum standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and critical thinking.
- Incorporate real-world applications of STEM concepts to make learning relevant and engaging.
- Incorporate Computer Science into the curriculum.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate STEM activities across subject areas.
- Assess student understanding and progress, providing feedback to support student learning.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance STEM teaching skills.
Qualifications:
- Passion for STEM education and hands-on learning.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with elementary students preferred.
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Employment Type: Full-time: 40 hours per week (7:30-4:00), ~182 days per year
