Job Details
Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
Two (2) or more years full-time Labor & Delivery RN experience prior to any travel contracts
Mother / Baby couplet care and Newborn stabilization experience preferred
North Hawaii Community Hospital is a Baby-Friendly designated hospital and offers a collaboration of Physician and Midwifery services.
Job Requirements
Current and unencumbered Hawaii RN license.
Pending applications or those willing to apply will be declined
EFM Certification from NCC is requirement. Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Courses are not a substitute
STABLE certification preferred
Schedule Information
Full compliance must be met and uploaded to portal 10 or more days in advance of contract start date
No RTO will be approved for initial contract
Unit Specific Information
The Family Birthing Unit is comprised of 5 private labor and delivery suites, 1 triage room, 3 postpartum overflow beds & a level 1 nursery.
The Family Birthing Unit is a low-risk OB unit but is equipped to manage high risk stabilization until transport occurs.
Nurses care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum couplets and stabilization of neonates until appropriate transport occurs.
Additional Details
Queen's is open to Hawaii residents, but they will not be offered traveler rates.
