The position of Business Technology Instructor is available at North High School. This is a Chapter 74 position.
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
This individual is accountable for teaching and supervision of students in the Business Technology Chapter 74 Career Vocational Technical Education (CVTE) state frameworks and curriculum disciplines.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)
1. Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies.
2. Responsible for the integration of the department’s curriculum where appropriate.

4. Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Massachusetts DESE licensure (Chapter 74) in Business Technology 9-14
2. SEI Endorsement. Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of vocational/technical teacher competencies and the understanding of instructional techniques.
3. Bachelors degree or higher in/or related to the field of Business Technology.
4. Three years of full-time working experience in Business Technology.
5. Evidence of Business Technology Industry experience to include business management, accounting/financial principles, database administration, social media/Website design, and customer service skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Advanced educational preparation.
2. Evidence of educational leadership.
3. OSHA Trainer
4. Knowledge of Store Management.
5. Competent in computer applications
6. Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs.
7. Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language.
WORK YEAR: 184 days
SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelor's Degree. Potential to increase based on degree level
