  • Plan and execute software and database migrations through test environments to production following standardized processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure incidents to minimize service disruptions
  • Support cloud migration initiatives as TxDOT moves applications to cloud-based environments
  • Assist in implementing CI/CD pipelines for applications not currently in a pipeline architecture (primarily ADO)
  • Contribute to containerization strategies and implementation planning
  • Monitor and maintain Java services and proprietary code in production environments
  • Work with complex environments including TxC custom code with Oracle database, MuleSoft ESB, AASHTOWare, Bentley Project Wise, and ExeVision
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives
  • Work in a hybrid arrangement with 3 days onsite at the Austin office and 2 days remote

Ideally, We’d Like

  • 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, network administration, or similar technical roles
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with system monitoring tools and techniques
  • Strong knowledge of environment management, including code and data refresh processes
  • Experience with code repository systems and version control methodologies
  • Proven track record in executing software and database migrations
  • Experience with incident management and resolution in complex infrastructure environments
  • Cloud platform knowledge and migration experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • CI/CD pipeline experience, particularly with Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies and orchestration
  • Experience working with Oracle databases, MuleSoft ESB, or similar integration platforms
  • Knowledge of Java services monitoring and management
  • Public sector experience preferred but not required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Located in the Austin, TX area (hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in office)
