Infection Control / Infection Preventionist Registered Nurse
North Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC is seeking an experienced Infection Control Nurse - RN. This is a fulltime position offering competitive pay and excellent benefits. Responsibilities of Infection Control / Infection Preventionist with a Registered Nurse
The Infection Preventionist / Infection Control RN Nurse is responsible for providing guidance and educational support within the facility.
Also, the Infection Preventionist / Infection Control Nurse will assist in problem solving resident care, monitoring compliance with State and Federal regulations and coordinates the Infection Preventionist and control program as set forth in the Resident Care Policy and Procedures Manual.
The Infection Preventionist / Control Nurses duties are as follows:
1). Provides directive and supportive consultation to facility staff.
2). Partners with the Medical Director, Executive Director and Director of Nursing to develop, implement and evaluate annual infection preventionist goals and plans.
3). Conducts infection surveillance and reports routinely to the Quality Assurance Committee.
4). Directs and assists in preparing reports, statistical data and trend identification for the QA Committee.
5). Provides education and training regarding infection prevention and control practices to all staff. Includes evidence-based infection control practices and isolation precautions.
6). Provides hands on nursing care to residents as needed as a licensed professional nurse, consistence with the State's Nurse Practice Act.
7). And other assigned duties.
Qualifications of Infection Control :
Education/Training graduate of an accredited school of nursing and most possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse -Must have CPR Certification.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the areas of Nurse Administrator and teaching in geriatric and restorative nursing preferred.
