What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIETARY AIDE - DIETARY position at NORTH IDAHO DAY SURGERY LLC?
Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a customer focused Dietary Aide to join the Dietary Team!
This position will be 40 hours a week!
In this role, you will assist cooks in the preparation and service of meals according to menus, including cooking, food handling, preparation, meal service, read and understand patient diet orders, use of standardized recipes/procedures, washing dishes, and equipment cleaning. All duties are carried out according to all defined safety codes, Infection Control procedures and work schedule.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States
- One year of food service experience in a health care dietary setting and have general knowledge of quantity food preparation and portioned serving strongly preferred.
- Preference is given to persons with education in quantity cooking and therapeutic diets.
- Must be able to achieve Food Handler’s Permit certification within 60 days of employment.
- Strong customer service skills.
