ADJUNCT POOL - CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION

Basic Function: Adjunct instructors are independently responsible for the effective delivery of course instruction and the facilitation of student learning and success.
Qualifications: Possess one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in the content area
- Associate's degree with 3,000 hours or more of recent and relevant experience in the content area
- Specialized training with a minimum of 6,000 hours of recent and relevant experience in the content area.
Previous teaching experience preferred; effective communication and technology skills necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare for and deliver instruction in the content area, aligning with course competencies, syllabi, and College policies and procedures.
- Evaluate, record, and report attendance; assess student performance and provide regular, constructive feedback.
- Be regularly available to meet with students (in-person or online) as necessary.
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with staff, students, faculty; communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Perform work according to assigned schedule; classes may be held face-to-face (on-campus, off-site, at regional centers) or online, and may include day or evening hours.
- Perform additional duties in relation to the responsibilities of the position as assigned by the Division Chair and/or Vice President of Academic Affairs & Student Learning.
