Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to families, helping them navigate challenges, access resources, and develop skills to enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home visits to assess client needs and provide individualized support.
- Develop and implement tailored service plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
- Offer education on positive parenting, economic self-sufficiency, and improving family function.
- Connect clients with community resources and support services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of visits, services provided, and client progress.
- Foster trusting relationships with clients to encourage open communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in social services, community outreach, or home visitation programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of community resources and support services.
- Compassionate, non-judgmental approach to working with diverse populations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
