Job Title: Oncology Experienced Occupational Therapist
Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate occupational therapist to provide quality care to our patients with breast and head and neck cancer.
About the Role:
Under the direction of the Department Director and Senior Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and administer treatment plans to restore function and prevent disabilities in our patients. Your primary focus will be on oncology rehabilitation, but you will also have the opportunity to work with other clinical conditions such as musculoskeletal or neurological disorders.
The ideal candidate will have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and be able to manage a variable schedule. You may work 4-10 hour days, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility to adjust your schedule as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop treatment plans for patients with breast and head and neck cancer
- Administer therapy services to restore function and prevent disabilities
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Work collaboratively with cross-trained staff to support acute care needs
Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA (American Heart Association)
- OTR (Occupational Therapist) or PT (Physical Therapist) certification from NBCOT (National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy)
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with oncology patients
- Strong knowledge of oncology rehabilitation principles and practices
