Job Summary
The North Kansas City Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team in the oncology department.
This role will involve working collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide quality pharmaceutical care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care under the direction of the Department of Pharmacy management team.
- Supervise and direct pharmacy technicians to achieve departmental goals.
- Assume essential responsibilities of pharmacy management in the absence of pharmacy management.
Requirements:
- Formal recognition as a model practitioner (e.g. BCPS, fellowship) or PGY2 residency training in Oncology or PGY1 residency training and 3 years of Oncology-related health system experience.
- Clinical pharmacy specialists must meet the requirements to precept PGY-1 residents as established by the most recently published American Society of Health System Pharmacists Accreditation Standard.
- Full-time employment (0.9 FTE) required.
- Precept 2 pharmacy students per employee evaluation period required.
- Primary role as clinical pharmacy specialist on a NKCH patient care area required.
Qualifications:
- Required: Pharmacist - State of Missouri.
- Required: Other - Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy program.
