What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Client Service Representative / Receptionist position at North King Animal Clinic?

Veterinary Receptionist Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service such as greet customers, answer questions, process incoming patients, and handle payments.
- Answer phone calls, which will involve answering medical and non-medical questions and screening and scheduling appointments.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email.
- Update and file patient charts.
- Enter data into a computerized billing program.
- Process credit card payments and prepare bank deposits.
- Retrieve and prepare prescriptions.
- Assist with pet supply purchases such as pet food, supplements, etc.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the facility.

Physical Requirements:
- Dependable attendance is required.
- Any allergies to animals must be controllable through medication.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during an 8hr day.
- Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written directions.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give information in person and over the telephone.
- Fine motor skills adequate for utilizing office equipment such as computers, telephones, copiers, etc.

Animal Care Requirements:
- Occasional kennel work, such as feeding, walking, restraint, or cleaning up after patients.

Hours are to be determined but will definitely include Saturdays from 8:00 am until about 12:30 - 1:00 pm. We are closed Sunday and Monday.
