Position Overview :
BNL High School seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Girls Assistant Varsity Tennis Coach to lead and develop our Girls Varsity Tennis team. The Girls Varsity Tennis Coach will play a crucial role in the growth and success of our tennis program, working closely with student-athletes to enhance their skills, foster sportsmanship, and promote teamwork. Responsibilities :
- Coaching : Plan and conduct tennis practices focusing on skill development, strategy, and match tactics. Provide instruction on tennis techniques, rules, and match strategies to enhance players' performance.
- Match Preparation : Analyze opponents, strategize for matches, and prepare the team for various tennis events and tournaments.
- Player Development : Offer players personalized coaching and feedback to help them improve their tennis skills, mental toughness, and understanding of the game.
- Attendance : Attend all team practices, matches, tournaments, and other related events, which may include occasional weekend travel.
- Team Culture : Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and respect for fellow team members, opponents, and the tennis court.
- Team Management : Assisted in organizing team events, fundraisers, and community engagement activities that supported the tennis program.
- Academic Monitoring : Monitor student-athletes' academic progress and well-being, offering guidance and support to ensure their success academically and athletically.
- Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to school and district policies regarding athlete conduct, safety, and eligibility.
- Logistics : Manage tennis equipment, coordinate practice and match schedules, and perform other logistical tasks related to the tennis program.
